Demand Planning Analyst

Description: The Demand Planning Analyst will assist in global demand planning duties in accordance with the S&OP office. This position will work with finance, global commercial teams, and product groups to provide a rolling 12 month baseline forecast for use in the S&OP demand planning monthly cycle.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop effective forecast models and algorithms based on industry trends and demand patterns
  • Track MAPE on the baseline forecast; proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Partner with the product management teams to adjust future forecasts for NPI and EOL changes
  • Identify and correct exceptions and anomalies in the statistical forecast that may impact accuracy
  • Lead monthly meetings with global commercial teams to communicate changes to product offerings and rational behind changes to the baseline forecast
  • Highlight and communicate to commercial teams priorities based on aged global inventory levels
  • Track and understand regional commercial alterations to the baseline forecast

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, or other relevant field
  • Strong analytical acumen with mathematical and statistical knowledge; familiarity with macroeconomic indicators
  • Previous experience with statistical forecasting software, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and a working understanding of statistical modelling
  • Continuous improvement mindset (FBS / DBS a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel; comfortable with excel-based modelling
  • Experience or understanding of technical instrumentation preferred
  • Oracle cloud-based ERP experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience working with international teams
