For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing Research and Technology is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical/Structures/Assembly Engineer (Level 3) to join our team in the Everett, Washington factory.This person will be part of our BR&T Operations Support Team supporting torque tool development across the Enterprise and support to automated drilling and fastening equipment used for wing assembly in the Everett Factory.Position Responsibilities:Defines requirements and approves tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of products

Produces specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes

Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs

Develops and qualifies new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements

Integrates new technologies as appropriate

Conducts analysis to characterize performance or determine reasons for failure of tools, materials, parts or processes

Implements corrective and preventive actions

Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements

Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemisty

Experience with computer-aided design tools

Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years supporting automated assembly equipment

Experience designing, evaluating or testing portable tools, especially torque tools

Project management experience

Experience with manufacturing tools and processes

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
