Description We are seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team in Everett, Washington. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you will be a key part of our dedicated team, providing compassionate care to our patients. As a Patient Service Representative, you will manage administrative tasks, facilitate communication between patients, caregivers, and medical staff, and ensure exceptional patient experiences.Responsibilities: Serve as a welcoming point of contact for patients and their families, fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere in the clinic. Oversee the scheduling and confirmation of appointments for patients, utilizing electronic systems to ensure efficient and accurate scheduling. Verify patient insurance information and provide assistance in resolving insurance-related queries. Handle billing and payment tasks, including the collection of patient co-payments, deductibles, and payments for services rendered, and assist patients with billing inquiries. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations. Act as a liaison between patients, caregivers, and medical staff, relaying messages and information as needed. Assist with general administrative tasks, including managing phone calls, managing office supplies, and keeping the reception area organized. Collaborate effectively with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and address patient needs. Show empathy and compassion while addressing patient concerns, ensuring their needs are met promptly. Requirements Ability to handle inbound telephone calls in a professional and effective manner Proficiency in managing multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment Experience with electronic medical record systems and ability to maintain accurate records Familiarity with HIPAA Compliance and Patient Privacy Rule, ensuring all patient information is handled confidentially Proven ability to schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering the availability of medical staff and patient convenience.
