SummaryPerforms a variety of moderately complex production/process planning functions, exercising some discretion and judgment. Effectively organizes the use of resources, and maximize efficiency in the workplace. Monitors production schedule, assist with the sequence and synchronization of production, while taking into account priorities, constraints and conflicts, and also managing changes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:Monitor and help resolve any production move time and workflow issues with shop supervisor that occur in work cells.Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.Assist shop supervisor with supply chain data to foresee any supply/planning issues that may occur and could disrupt or stop daily production output.Work closely with SGS and planning departments to evaluate material inventory lists/shortages.Monitor and direct inventory control expediters to insure that the needs of the production line workflows are met and that any discrepancies are addressed quickly and resolved.Monitor and provide data to help with changes to production firing order as needed to insure daily production output is achieved.Prioritize sub-assembly production activity to insure assembled parts are available to production line as needed, when needed. Provide Green line support of shop. documents for urgent part needs.Work closely with QA/MRB to address and resolve any re-work parts issues and/or defects that interrupt production workflow. Also, provide this non-conformance data to the planning department.Provide production flow updates to management.Assist shop with re-work sequences as they occur and pertain to the work order in work cells by adding needed parts and or updates to work orders as required for re-work.Assist with the development and improvement of shop floor production flow.Perform revision control to shop floor work orders.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
