Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Assembly, Integration and Test Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager to join the Space & Launch Proprietary group located in Kent, WA .An Assembly, Integration and Test IPT Manager is sought to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team in the assembly, integration and test of a novel space vehicle. The Assembly, Integration and Test IPT Manager will be responsible for cross-IPT collaboration and coordination across the program, particularly with the space vehicle design team to engender design for manufacturing and test (DFMAT) principles in the design. The Assembly, Integration and Test IPT Manager will be responsible to create detailed plans that ensure the space vehicle meets all customer requirements and is delivered on-time and on-cost. The Assembly, Integration and Test IPT Manager will regularly report performance to plan to customer representatives and the Program Manager.Reporting directly to the Program Manager, the Assembly, Integration and Test IPT Manager is a member of the senior program leadership team and will also be responsible for leading and mentoring the assembly, integration, and test team, promoting a positive work culture, supporting regular customer engagements, and exceeding customer expectations. The Assembly, Integration and Test IPT Manager is expected to have excellent communication skills and will interact with all levels of the Boeing organization, all the way up through senior executive management.Position Responsibilities:Provides leadership and project engineering management for the assembly, integration and test team. IPT accountabilities include cost, technical, schedule, and risk management.

Participates in system-level trades to ensure the space vehicle design meets internal and external production and manufacturing requirements using DFMAT principles.

Participates in the development of qualification and acceptance level test plans to verify system designs meet requirements and specifications.

Develops subsystem manufacturing and test plans to support space vehicle integration, transportation and launch.

Supports and approves manufacturing and integration plan, Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and Virtual Manufacturing (VM) simulation reviews.

Supports and approves of design reviews, test plans, and procedures, critical planning procedures.

Integrates relevant space vehicle design and design-integration lessons learned from previous programs.

Provides support for Business Development and Proposal efforts.

Primary Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA) for program execution, program battle rhythm, and project engineering including earned value, technical performance metrics reporting cost account management, and communications/briefing to executive leadership - highlighting and project managing program cost, schedule, risk/ mitigation, and technical performance while providing timely affordable, lean, root cause/corrective action-based solutions.

Ensures preparation of the master plan and schedule for platform system designs, such as Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS), and First Article Plan, through coordination and conflict resolution with other Boeing teams, functions, and organizations, as well as customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Develops and communicates Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA) to define team members' roles and responsibilities for platform system design, design integration, and support for project engineering activities.

Regularly takes on and assigns action items, and is responsible for driving them to closure

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Kent, WA.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Minimum 1 year of experience in project management

Minimum 3 years of experience in design, assembly, integration, or test of satellite systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):IPT Leadership including cost, schedule, technical and risk management.

Full-time aerospace industry experience within Mechanical, Structural, Platforms, and Payloads, Design, Analysis, or Liaison engineering.

Ideal candidate will have extensive experience with space platform subsystems including systems engineering, space vehicle design, mechanical systems engineering, deployable structures, communications systems, propulsion engineering, power subsystem, mechanisms, and other platform-related subsystems.

Experience with the platform subsystem lifecycle: design, analysis, manufacturing, procurements, assembly, integration, and test.
