Location: Ice Harbor office, Pasco WA

Hours & Work Days: Day shift, Monday - Friday; Hours and/or Shifts may vary depending on harvest/recruitment.

Summary: Stemilt is seeking a bilingual Human Resources support staff at our office in Ice Harbor, WA. The Human Resources Support person will be responsible for recruitment, hiring, orientation, maintaining employee files, and I-9s for local and migrant workers at these locations.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bilingual in English and Spanish to communicate with employees, provide orientations and help translate documents.

Ability to read and interpret/translate documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to speak effectively before large groups of employees of organization.

Ability to multitask with numerous interruptions.

Ability to have high tolerance of stress.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.

Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

Human Resources Support Duties:

Conducts new hire orientations.

Checks employment applications and examines work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants.

Informs applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, company policies, promotional opportunities, and other related information.

May search for and recruit applicants for open positions.

Enter new employee information to be uploaded to the payroll database system

Create and maintain employee files in accordance with company policy.

Ensures that terminated personnel files are in accordance with the companys document retention policy.

Responsible for I-9 process and retention.

Help other office staff with regular clerical and office duties when time available.

Respond to the orchard managers requests when necessary.

Maintain the confidentiality related to all aspects of the department.

Other duties may be assigned.
