Position Purpose

Do you want to use your Back End development skills to make a difference in the world of Cardiology? Do you want to work with leadership that has successfully taken several medical device startups to business and clinical success? Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with a unique and compelling product looking for the right Full Stack (Backend focused) Engineer to help us achieve our mission.

Join a multi-skilled, dedicated, and talented team developing state-of-the-art wearable cardiac arrhythmia monitors and associated cloud-based software. In this role, work in a small and dedicated team focused on the development of these products.

The right person will be energized by the unique challenges and opportunities of a fast-growing medical device organization, by interesting complex technical problems, and have a penchant for continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Build secure and reliable backends systems maximizing speed and scale.
  • Develop back-end as a RESTful API based application.
  • Work as a team to develop high quality, testable applications based on product and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute within a collaborative environment, using lean but effective software practices.
  • Deliver Design and Code using practices consistent with security and regulatory standards.

Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience designing and developing web applications.
  • Emphasis on designing and building backend systems and RESTful APIs and building systems at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies including SQL/MSSQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure storage tables.
  • Ability to design data models supporting binary data collection for AI applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to tune application and database for performance.
  • Excellent coding skills and strong proficiency in web technologies, with an emphasis in C# .NET.
  • Demonstrable strong design and programming fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
Preferred
  • Medical Device or another regulated environment experience
  • Familiarity with Python and Java desired.
  • Seattle Metro Area locals (no relocation assistance)
