Quality Assurance (QA) InspectorFounded in 1999, a leader in high end CO2 lasers in Everett, WA is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector. This QA Inspector with help support the production team in performing receiving material inspections, maintaining calibration of measurement and analysis equipment, and reviewing and auditing manufacturing processes and procedures.   • Inspection of incoming parts for compliance against Company's drawings and specifications. Entering inspection data into Company’s ERP system.
  • Separating and forwarding defective parts for subsequent evaluation by the Material Review Board.
  • Thoroughly understand the proper operation of measurement and analysis equipment.
  • Calibrating hand tools utilized in production environment such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Conducting internal compliance audits of published manufacturing procedures, processes, and work instructions.
  • As part of the quality team, participating in the continuous improvement of all quality processes.
  • Maintaining calibration and maintenance database, including coordination of calibration schedules and assurance of compliance and availability of backup units.
Requirements needed…
  • Working knowledge of and previous experience using a variety of inspections tools and instruments with only moderate instruction or supervision, to include common mechanical metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, gauge blocks, depth gauges, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and engineering documentation including a strong understanding of nominal dimensions, tolerances, and critical features.
  • Experience with calibration systems such as utilizing calibration database and communicating with external calibration provider; experience performing calibration on hand tools utilized in production environment such as calipers or micrometers.
  • Demonstrated experience performing incoming inspection on received parts, assessing their compliance to published requirements, and quarantining nonconforming material for MRB disposition.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • General computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and familiarity with MS Access
  • Ability to regularly lift 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and be able to stand for long periods of time.
