Position: DRUPAL PATCHING SERVICES Duration: 12 months with Extension Possible Location: Olympia, WA Background CTS supports over 60 Drupal 7 websites, and over 40 Drupal 9 websites, which need regular patching of Drupal Core and Modules. Our team hosts all sites on Pantheon's web hosting platform. All Drupal 9 websites utilize Composer. For Drupal 7 websites, Pantheon offers one-click updates from the Pantheon Dashboard. For Drupal 9 websites, we have local scripts that run through the code update, push and database update processes. When Drupal security patches are released, we are committed to our customers to safely and quickly deploy those security patches. Many of our sites require off-hours deployment to production. On average, when both Drupal 7 and Drupal 9 patches are released, it can take over 40 hours per release to complete the patches. Scope of Work We are looking for a partner who can quickly respond when Drupal security patches are released and assist in completing those updates to Drupal Core, Modules, and thoroughly test before deploying to production. In some months, there may only be a monthly core patch released, but in some months, security patches are released weekly, so the time commitment will vary. Experience with Pantheon Cloud Hosting Platform Advanced knowledge of Drupal 7 and 9. Working knowledge of: o Linux bash o Installing Linux apps (PHP, Composer, Git, Ahoy etc) o Composer (2.x) o Terminus o Git o SSH connections (for Pantheon and Git) o GitLab account o Drush (9.x and 10.x) Experience updating Drupal Core and Modules on Drupal 7 and Drupal 9 Ability to troubleshoot if a patch is failing Ability to track a Composer failure and fix on updates o formatting errors o version errors o local tool errors (like when a specific PHP library needs to be installed) Ability to respond to high-priority security patches within one business day or less. Sites will be prioritized for the Vendor in order of importance. Ability to update all sites within 7 days of patch release. Attention to detail to facilitate thorough testing of each site prior to release. Ability to install and configure Vendor team workstations with tools required to work in the WaTech development environment (WSL 2, Ubuntu, Terminus, Drush, etc.)
