Do you want to work in a team that’s at the heart of the Microsoft’s public Elastic Compute and Storage cloud, as well as Microsoft’s private Bing cloud? The three key services a modern cloud offers to its users are deployment, monitoring and repairs. The Azure One Deploy team builds the smarts at the cross roads of all these three. It is responsible for multi-level monitoring of both service and infrastructure health. It dynamically applies the health data to safely stage and orchestrate deployments and repairs for customer and infrastructural services on a global scale, across millions of virtual machines while maintaining high availability guarantees on services themselves. It is used by third party Microsoft customers, first party Microsoft services like HDInsight, SQL Azure, Cosmos and IndexServe, as well as for orchestrating upgrades and repairs to core infrastructural service like compute, networking and storage stacks.Azure One Deploy System holds the key to unlocking rapid innovation while providing the most up-to-date infrastructure for customers maintaining service availability and quality. The work done in the team has a multiplier effect for the entire company as it delivers on a smart underlying infrastructure for everyone to use. The traditional methods of software delivery cannot keep up with the demand of the developer innovation and business need, and so we are innovating across all aspects of service delivery.We are looking for talented and motivated data scientists and software engineers that are interested in making their mark in Azure and join a team with immense growth opportunities!ResponsibilitiesThis role is to design and implement new features based on the business need. Improve the scalability and performance to support Microsoft’s cloud growth. This role will drive the whole dev work end to end. We don’t have test and operation team. This role from dev team is expected to drive the whole scenario end to end including feature spec, design, execution, test, flight, operations, instrumentation, documentation and live site handling.You’ll learn how existing design and implementation works from documentation, source code and production instrumentations.
You'll work with partner teams and make them more efficient, more effective, and more fun.
You’ll deal with business problems in Azure One Deploy and deliver high quality software end-to-end.
And most of all, you'll demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:BS or degree or higher preferably with a concentration in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or technology related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of education
5+ years of experience in software design, development, and debugging in distributed system.
3+ years of experience in managed and/or native code development.
Great writing, documentation, and communication skills in Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:Strong customer passion, accountability and drive who can take initiative and accomplish big goals.
An entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude: Self-starter, project finisher and adaptable
Great communicator, able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly.
Hands-on experience at shipping a large scale, commercial, online-software solutions
May include: Ability to meet Microsoft, custome r and/or government security screening requirements.
