Join the eXcell team. We have a new opportunity for a Software Development Engineer in Test. Scope of Activity:
- Analyze, design and development of overall test plans, perform repeatable testing procedures and processes
- Verification of installation instructions, APIs, triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, hardware product or system specifications
- Interpretation and modification of code as required including batch files, make files, Perl scripts, queries, stored procedures and / or triggers
- Identify and define project team quality and risk metrics
- Support with application / system / inter-system level issues
- Provide support for application / system performance, threading issues, bottleneck identification, writing small footprint and less intrusive code for critical code testing, tackle system / application intermitted failures etc.
- Knowledge of WiFi protocol, and experience with device testing on WiFi or RF component (cellular radio, Bluetooth)
- Familiarity with RF debugging tools: wireless sniffers (e.g. Wireshark, Wildpackets OnmiPeek, Ethereal), basic scope skills
- Debugging and troubleshooting skills, ability to isolate issues in complex scenarios
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and define test plans from variables
- Hands on enterprise networking experience
- Experience with bring up, deployment and maintenance of Cisco and Aruba Wi-Fi controllers and switches
- Experience with network authentication systems like RADIUS, Microsoft NPS etc.
- Proven basic scripting or coding experience
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Experience with Windows / Kernel Debugging and/or trace analysis (xPerf, .etl, ETW) preferred
- Familiarity with industry tools: Azure DevOps, TFS / Product Studio, WTT, HLK
- Ability to read and write at least one programming language such as C / C, VB, SQL, etc.
- Must have solid understanding of software development cycle
- Experience on interoperability, Wi-Fi / BT Coexistence, Over the Air Testing, Rate vs Range, WiFi / BT certification, WiFi Direct / P2P experience, Bluetooth RF PHY development and testing preferred
