We are currently in search of a qualified NAV Developer II to join our client for a 100% remote position.General Summary: The primary responsibilities of this role will involve all aspects of the development lifecycle; from requirements gathering, through documentation, development, testing and deployment, this role is responsible for creating and/or enhancing functionality within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP System to support internal and external processes. Additional responsibilities of this role also include maintaining all instances of NAV (dev, test, production) across the organization, as well as, providing technical training and guidance to other team members and end users. This role reports to the Director of ERP Systems and will work in tandem and take guidance from the Senior ERP Analyst & Engineer.Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to flow processes, gather requirements, and create detailed design documents
- Create new and / or modify existing custom functionality based on requirements
- Perform and / or assist in data conversions
- Debug and troubleshoot system problems
- Test developed functionality against business requirements
- Contribute to end-user and in-house developer training including system documentation and training materials
- Take responsibility for delivering development tasks within agreed upon timeline and budget
- Work with Microsoft Partner or 3 rd Party NAV Vendors as needed
- Develop code that is concise, modular, testable, and reusable
- Develop and maintain NAV reports using Microsoft Visual Studio
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 or later, and Business Central (BC) development experience preferred or familiarity with Pascal, C, C / AL or AL languages
- Ability to code full-cycle application or application module developing usable functionality
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or wholesale distribution is a plus
- MS SQL Server experience a plus
- Ability to write and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) a plus
- Ability to travel for conferences and tradeshows
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2 years as a software developer, preferably with the Dynamics NAV
- Proven ability to perform at a high level while tele-commuting from a home office or working remotely
- Ability to work well within deadline-oriented development structure
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
- Strong technical abilities and desire to learn new things
- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skill, teamwork and customer service skills
- Microsoft certifications a plus
- Microsoft BC or Dynamics NAV certifications a plus (system configurations, front end)
