EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for mature, PATIENT, confident, well-groomed non-smoking individuals that are CONFIDENT and EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD coaches or teachers. If you would like to have a chance to influence the way people driveAND thereby help save lives, especially the lives of teenagers, then here's your mission.

We've developed a streamlined, integrated and highly interactive 5-week course that engages teens, parents and professionals on multiple levelsacademic, moral, kinesthetic, existential. . . We're looking for like-minded professionals to join our team as we move into another expansion year.

COMPANY PROFILE:

NorthStar Driving Academy, LLC, has been around for 14 years. We're a small "mom and pop" organization with a HUGE heart, supportive staff and knowledgeable faculty that are deeply interested in helping TEENAGERS come of age in about the most significant "right of passage" modern society has inventedgetting behind the controls of a fast-paced, heavy, potentially DEADLY piece of machinery.

We've had great success over the years but have resisted adopting a sterile, profit-driven corporate mentality of other larger driving schools. Consider being apart of a fast-paced roll-out of an exciting, edgy and growing academy during a critical expansion year.

We believe foremost in our competence to effect proper driver attitudes and teach the necessary skills required to travel along our congested highways these days. You must demonstrate the same competency and positive attitude.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Patience, self-control and confidence, driving competency.

1 year teaching, coaching, or other youth or child care experience.

5 years on a Driver's License, from any state

High School Diploma or equivalency

No more than 1 traffic moving violation in the last year,

and not more than 2 in the last 24 months.

No license suspension in the last 3 years.

Must pass WSP and FBI background checks.

Submit to drug testing prior to hire.

Non-smoking. No DUI's.

Must work "after school" hours, typically, between 2p and 9pm M-F.

Must work at least one weekend day, typically Saturday.

then, enter our paid Instructor Course to be trained as a licensed commercial driving instructor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years teaching or youth work experience.

BA in education, psychology, social work, recreation, or similar discipline.

COMPENSATION:

Instructor Course fee waived ($3000)

Approximately 60 hours of the training is paid on-the-job $15/hr.

For a "choice" candidate with customer service experience, there's paid supplementary Call Center work.

After successful completion of the Course, the Candidate must

pass both a Department of Licensing Instructor Knowledge Exam & Road Test

prior to receiving a P/T to F/T provisional employment offer, usually 20-30 hrs/week.

Starting wages: $18-19/hr DOE.

For Full-time employees: 5 paid holidays, 5 paid vacation/sick days,

free driver education for immediate family members, exciting team-building adventures.
