LPD Engineering PLLC, a small, woman owned civil engineering site development firm in downtown Seattle, WA, is seeking a Civil CAD Designer with at least 2 years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting with a focus on site development projects in the Puget Sound Region. Senior level designer/technicians are encouraged to apply. Candidate must be proficient at using AutoCAD/Civil 3D to create and revise civil engineering drawings including (but not limited to) draft engineered redlines, revise CAD drawings based on client/jurisdictional feedback, and create CAD details and sections.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

- Proficient at using AutoCAD.

- Experience using Civil 3D

- Ability to work successfully within a project-based and team-based environment.

- Excellent time management skills in order to meet deadlines.

- Ability to communicate effectively to clients – internal and external.

- Initiative - self-starter.

- Committed to producing high quality plans.

- Creative, proactive, critical thinker who will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, casual, fast-paced office environment.

- Training at accredited technical school or community college and minimum 1 year on the job experience.

- Motivation and ability to increase understanding and implementation of engineering principles, internal and external standards, and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficient at using the latest AutoCAD Civil 3D. Grading, corridors, feature lines, surfaces, C3D labels, pipe network, and sheet sets.

- Experience creating, implementing and managing CAD standards.

- IT/CAD troubleshooting and management experience including implementation of new systems, procedures & documentation.

- Management of software subscriptions & upgrades, research understand new products.

- Experience maintaining in-house customization and implementing client required systems.

- Familiarity with local (Seattle, Tacoma, King County) CAD Standards.
