Project Engineer/Designer for Offroad Company (Sandpoint Idaho)

Washington, Seattle-tacoma 00000 Seattle-tacoma USA

Vacancy expired!

Ready to escape the madness of Western Washington, and move to a slower paced and outdoor focused lifestyle?

Selkirk Offroad is the Parent Company of The Land Cruiser Shop, a full service Toyota Land Cruiser Restoration, Repair & Service company, and Kinetic Overland, an outfitter of Modern 4WD vehicles.

We are currently seeking a product developer with experience with Toyota 4WD vehicles, and also an interest or background in overland travel, sustained vehicle usage in austere or off-road race environments, firearms and wilderness travel.

An ideal candidate would have experience in CAD/CNC and Product Development in addition to hands on fabrication, mill/router/plasma table operation/maintenance and automotive work.

A candidate should also have lots of experience using Toyota or other 4WD vehicles in a context of overland, expedition and/or offroad usage.

You will mostly be developing products we can sell on our website and by extension to the off road community. Additionally you will be called upon to develop custom solutions for specific projects. Not only will you be called upon to develop products for vehicles such as motor mounts, but you will also be asked to develop products that make use of vehicles in an overland or austere contexts more comfortable, such as water carrying systems, racks, on vehicle firearms safes and other accessories.

We mostly work on Toyota 4wd vehicles, however, a candidate should be open to working on all makes and models of vintage 4WD. A passion for Toyotas, Overland and Outdoor Culture is something we are also wanting to see in a candidate.

We are located minutes from beautiful Lake Pend Oreille and Schweitzer Ski Resort, in Sandpoint, Idaho - a town consistently rated as one of the most beautiful areas in the USA.

Our company culture is that of precision, detail and top quality in our builds and we all live an outdoor and family oriented lifestyle. Happy to hire out of state candidates looking for a better life in a rural area.

A college education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Tech, Industrial Design or any other program that features a mix of drawing/drafting, product development plus hands-on machine & fabrication time required.

Competitive pay for the right candidate.

Please send a resume and portfolio.
