Location: Seattle, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Fluid Systems Engineer II to work with the Fluid Systems team to design, develop, and test the launch vehicle pneumatics and propellant systems. Your contributions will directly impact the history of space exploration!
Responsibilities:Designing and routing fluid subsystem components, panels, tubing, and secondary structureDesigning pressurized fluid components (i.e., mechanisms, valves, regulators, test fixtures) including detailed design, analysis, specification, procurement, testing, and integrationCreating CAD parts, assemblies, and tube models using Creo 6.0 and Pro PipingCreating detailed engineering drawings using Creo 6.0 and ASME Y14.5 GD&T standardsStructural analysis and documentation of pressurized systems including hand calculations and FEA as necessary using ANSYSConduct or support fluid component and subsystem level testing including test planning, test execution, data reduction, and analysisQualifications:- B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience with CREO
- Experience with drafting and GD&T using ASME Y14.5
- Experience in the use of FEA analysis tools (ANSYS preferred)
- Experience with pressurized system or component design
- Experience with designing hardware for aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, or other high performance industries
- Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components
