Job Description

The Cargo Signal Team Manager leads and manages a team of 6+ people that is responsible for monitoring and escalating Cargo Signal shipments globally. The Team Manager is responsible for coaching and mentoring their team members, or assisting in getting the their team members the right coaching and mentoring, ensuring they have the training and the tools they need to do their jobs, and supporting their growth so that they and their teams are healthy and performing well. The team manager is responsible for ensuring that their teams understand their job expectations. Team Managers need to optimize their teams to achieve the best operational outcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select and onboard qualified team members
  • Provide team members with required hardware and software tools and access
  • Support their people’s development and career growth
  • Develop strong partnership with Operations Manager and Business Operations team to understand current and upcoming operational needs
  • Develop and organize individual training plans for New Hires, and ongoing training, exercises, and qualification standards for their team
  • Work closely with Operations Lead to understand individual training needs
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to monitor areas of continuous improvement and promote operational efficiency
  • Conduct regular performance reviews (3+1 model) with the help of peer feedback as well as feedback from Senior Logistics Security Analysts and Operations Lead
  • Understand, support and communicate the company’s vision and strategy
  • Set team member work schedules and manage time away, ensuring Command Center coverage and regarding operational needs
  • Review timecards
  • Ensure their people understand how their work is tied to outcomes
