Job Title: Sr. Cloud Eng – Data Services Team
Role SummaryWe are looking for a Cloud Engineer experienced with AZURE and ODS creation to help take our efforts to build real-time, data streaming capabilities to the next level. This full-stack engineer would work on a scrum delivery team, collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver business value on an iterative basis.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large scale organizations in the cloud. We are seeking someone with deep technical skills in a variety of big data technologies to play an important role in developing and delivering an Enterprise Digital Data Platform.Key Duties· Design, build, implement solutions to capture and store event driven data· Integrate with other components of the data ingestion pipeline to ensure the data is cataloged and search indexes are well maintained and always up to date.· Implement additional project components (API interfaces) for accessibility· Evaluate the performance and applicability of multiple tools, real time data strategies against customer requirements· Implement secure cloud data solutions which align to privacy and security controls· Engineer large sets of structured and unstructured data; cleansing, joining, fuzzy matching as needed· Provide appropriate recommendations to overcome road-blocks.· Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, and ensuring follow through with excellent verbal and written communication.· Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Database architecture, Big Data, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, No-SQL Databases, Advanced Analytics, Data Mining, ETL· Delivering and presenting demonstrations of key technology components to project stakeholders.Job-Specific Skills Required:o Hands on experience with Gito Hands on experience with DevOps CI/CD (Travis, Azure DevOps, GitLab, CircleCIo Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Rubyo Experience with at least one of the following for Messaging (Azure ServiceBus, RabbitMQ, Kafka)o Experience with NoSQL Databases such as MongoDb/CouchDbo Experience with Relation Databases (Oracle, PG, MySQL)o Advance SQL knowledgeo Prior working experience on implementing solutions utilizing AZURE service fabrico Working knowledge of event driven technologies (Tibco, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid/Hub)o Prior expertise working on cloud platforms like Azure or AWSo Prior working on using data processing technologies such as Apache Spark (Spark ML, Spark Streaming) or Azure stream analyticso Hands-on experience: administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance turning big data applicationso Expert level programming skills in c# , Java, Scala, Python etc.o Experience working on NoSQL databases like CosmosDB, Cassandra, Mongo etc.o Experience with ETL tools like Informatica or Pentaho.o Working experience with various stream analytics technologieso Experience with data concepts (SQL, NoSQL, Normalization) and working with complex data structuresPreferred:o Hands on knowledge of serverless computing (AWS or Azure) (Nice to Have)o Experience with .net core, c# (nice to have)o Hands on Experience with DockerContainer/Kubernetes (Nice to Have)o 1+ years airline/travel industry experienceo Experience with Agile Methodologyo Experience in Change Management, Release Management, and Source Code control practiceso Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceEducation· High school diploma or equivalent is required.· A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in computer science, systems analysis, or a related area, is preferred.Vacancy expired!
