Job Description
What you willbe doing:
- Playing a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for the design and production of mission critical, enterprise-scale business systems
- Translating requirements into system design specifications and the implementation of systems throughout the entire software development life cycle
- Developing a thorough understanding of the logistics ocean business domain
- Maintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a whole
This position will sit inSeattle, WA. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ year’s professional software development experience
- Solid experience in analysis and design using object-oriented techniques
- Comfortable working with backend code (Java / Spring) to write the business logic, database queries, and APIs
- Programming proficiency and experience with Java required
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORMs
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
Desired Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or similar, or comparable work experience
- Experience building front end client (Angular / Bootstrap / HTML, CSS)
- Experience with Eclipse, IntelliJ or Visual Studio Code IDE’s
- Experience with Git, branching, and merge requests / pull requests
- Experience with RxJs / NgRx / Redux
- Experience with creating interactive, responsive websites and forms that look great across devices and screen sizes
