Role Overview

The

Director, Strategic M&A/Partner Integration reports directly to the

Senior Vice President, Strategic M&A/Partner Integration and is responsible for leading and successfully completing complex and highly visible M&A and partner focused integration efforts in a fast-paced environment. This role will lead cross functional teams comprised of senior leaders across the business, identifying appropriate workstreams and decision points that lead to the creation of detailed integration plans, ultimately ensuring that all integration efforts are successfully completed. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management and communication skills, relevant experience related to M&A and 3rd party partnerships, as well as a history of leading complex cross-functional projects. A day in the life…

  • Overall responsibility for leading and successfully completing integration efforts related to M&A and 3rd party partnerships
  • Creation of, oversight and execution of all relevant integration workstreams. Leadership of cross functional teams comprised of senior leaders across both Accolade and partner/acquired organization(s).
  • Development of detailed integration plans across all identified workstreams, with appropriate stage gates/decision points, and ultimately ensuring that all integration efforts are successfully completed
  • Strong business acumen and understands the company strategic objectives, drives integration planning, assesses risks and challenges, develops comprehensive project plans inclusive of all workstreams, monitors status, identifies and resolves potential issues, and provides regular updates to leadership
  • Works in a challenging, fast-paced environment supporting M&A and other cross functional initiatives, aligning them with company strategy, processes, and culture
  • Interact across company departments & comfortably work with the Executive Team, leaders across multiple organizations and subject matter experts in key integration areas; Requires strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and service skills to achieve project goals
  • Develop or enhance playbooks for future M&A activities. Build key success metrics to evaluate the impact of various projects, improvements, and services
  • Determines project risk and assesses project activities and resources to mitigate risks
  • Effectively communicate project expectations with leadership, project team members and all involved parties

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in business; 10+ years of experience
  • Relevant experience with mergers & acquisitions and/or 3rd party partnerships
  • Expert knowledge of project management & change management
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others to achieve deadlines
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) and excellent presentation skills, including ability to adjust communication approach depending on current audience
  • Collaborative, team player. Ability to engage, interact, and collaborate with senior-level groups and leaders
  • Ability to visualize, understand and construct complex processes or concepts, developing process maps, diagrams, models, and/or other process documentation
  • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Very comfortable with developing, implementing, managing and executing through influence and in a collaborative manner across a cross-functional set of senior stakeholders
  • Data driven but comfortable with ambiguity. Exceptional problem-solver. Adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions
  • Strong capacity to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and rapid change
