We are looking for a Director of IT to join a medical institution focused on providing kidney dialysis, public health education and research into the causes and treatments of chronic kidney disease. The Information Technology Director reports to the Vice President of Information Technology and is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology (IT) Department. The primary function of the role is to have oversight and responsibility for the health, safety and functionality of Northwest Kidney Centers infrastructure, network, hardware, software, data architecture and reporting, applications implementation and maintenance, vendor management and leadership of the IT team members. This is a direct hire, hybrid capable role located in Washington.
What You Will Do:- Lead, grow and mentor the team of IT professionals to achieve and exceed performance expectations.
- Participates in various committee meetings as a regular member or on an ad hoc basis to report on IT performance and to provide technical expertise to develop solutions for business needs.
- Develops and manages the IT Budget. This includes capital, software, hardware, and operating budgets. Reconciles the budget and reports monthly on the budget status to the VP IT.
- Negotiates vendor contracts, agreements, and statements of work and manages vendor relationships by regularly reviewing deliverables and key performance indicators for service delivery.
- Coordinates and participates in special projects which may include, but is not limited to, supporting affiliated organizations and other health care entities.
- Bachelor’s degree in addition to five or more years IT/IS experience demonstrating increased responsibility over time
- Management experience in a data processing environment
- Experience managing multi-million dollar operational and capital budgets
- Experience contracting and managing support vendors
- Healthcare experience preferred
