job detailsjob summary:Fortune 500 Manufacturer is seeking a temp to hire Health & Safety Coordinator. This position is located near Seattle. The shift will be Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm). This position will be responsible for coordinating the health & safety program for the plant.location: Seattle, Washingtonjob type: Contractsalary: $30 - 38 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: High Schoolresponsibilities:
Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
Perform data collection to provide to central EHS team
Investigate accidents, injuries, or near misses
Continuously inspect and evaluate workplace to ensure company and government standards are being met
Develop and implement EHS initiatives and trainings
Lead and facilitate safety meetings
Qualifications
2+ years in a EH&S role in a manufacturing environment; preferably a union environment
Experience developing, updating & implementing EHS plans
qualifications:
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 2 years of experience
Education: High School
