Job Description

Scope of Position: To handle all administration for insuranceaccounts and related projects associated with the cargo insurance product. This includes support of branches, claims, customers, and sales personnel.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate the ability to accurately and professionally perform all job tasks including:

Customer Service -

  • Professional policy support within required time frames, including:
    • New policy set up
    • Renewals
    • Audits
  • Have an understanding and reception to clients' needs, and give proactive customer support.
  • Exhibit friendly and professional correspondence with both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain complete and accurate files, including but not limited to policy files, correspondence, and tele-communications.

Retention -

  • Constantly making an effort to build and foster relationships with our clients.
  • Successfully cross-sell insurance products that are not currently being provided.

Teamwork -

  • Contribute to team meetings and discussions.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales teamsto develop strategy for renewals and customer interactions.
  • Various ad-hoc assignments for the insurance product will be given. Specific details about the scope and expectations of each assignment will be explained. Successful execution of these tasks within the indicated timeframes is required.

Performance and Growth -

  • Ability to understand, manage, prioritize and re-prioritize with a sense of urgency.
  • Display beginning level risk evaluation and application of cargo insurance underwriting guidelines with limited supervision.
  • Proactive identification of opportunities for process improvement.
  • Exhibits a curious nature in review of all business operations.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Prior Work Experience in a Business Environment
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Organizational Skills & Ability to Effectively Prioritize Work
  • Exceptional Communication Skills
  • Experience in the Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Insurance Industry a Plus, But Not Required
  • Experience with Origami software is a plus.
