Requirements:•A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.•1-10 years of experience as a software developer.•A strong understanding of software development practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms.•Expertise in one or more general purpose languages like Java, JavaScript, Go, PHP, Python, or Ruby.•Experience designing microservices utilizing industry standard best practices for API design (experience with RESTful web services preferred).•An understanding of database fundamentals and expertise in working with one or more databases. Preferable experience in SQL, noSQL and related technologies.

Nice to have:•Experience with AWS and related cloud technologies is a plus.•Experience with distributed systems or microservices architecture in production is a plus.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.•Strong ability to mentor and influence other engineers.•Experience defining and influencing technical designs and processes across a team.•Knowledge of the remittances industry and domain is a plus.
