Job summary Amazon is all in on games. We are a new and energetic team building central solutions for our games. We need smart and talented engineers who love games. We are looking for a software development engineer that is passionate about building back-end services for our games. At Amazon Games, you will have the power of AWS cloud to fbuild amazing experiences for players, streamers and creators. If you are excited about making a big impact in the game industry, we are looking for you! Key responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with game teams to build scalable/performant services (e.g.: Social, Identity, Toxicity, Commerce, etc.) using AWS
  • Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility
  • Focus on operational excellence; constructively identify problems and propose solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience delivering scalable game services
  • Problem-solving and data analytical skills
  • Collaborative communication skills; fast learner with ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment
  • 5+ years of experience building successful production software systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
