Job Description

Role overviewThe

Marketing & Events Specialist is responsible for working closely with the Marketing, Sales and Business Development teams to support Accolade’s mission of reinventing the healthcare experience and delighting members. This individual will support events planning and execution for industry conferences, regional sponsorships and Accolade hosted events to drive sales opportunities and lead generation. Additionally, this role will partner with Engagement Marketing to manage onsite events as it relates to current customers and enhancing engagement, utilization and awareness of Accolade’s service.

A day in the life…

Event management:

  • Research and evaluate potential industry, regional and Accolade-hosted events focused on driving lead generation and sales opportunities; provide event recommendations to leadership
  • Act as a project manager to plan, produce, lead and execute events; requires close cross-functional partnershipso Develop event plans, overviews and materials, including pre- and post-event follow up planso Support the definition and creation of event goals and processes to ensure cross-functional alignment, event success and streamline effectivenesso Expertly drive pre-event meetings, including ownership of event planning documentationo Manage event calendars and project timelineso Conduct post-event analysis to understand the ROI; review findings and develop recommendations for leadership to drive event plans in subsequent quarters and years
  • Write content and copy for landing pages, e-mails, etc.
  • Support campaign execution, including list management and segmentation, e-mail creation and distribution, and content as it pertains to events
  • Maintain effective relationships with multiple vendor partners; coordinate project details, productions timelines, cost estimates, and final deliverables
  • Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event trip report
  • Work closely with Field Operations to achieve business goals via event marketing
  • Support departmental operations, such as entering/cataloging vendor invoices

Member engagement marketing:

  • Co-manage Customer Onsite Events process and execution with Member Engagement manager and CP team
  • Be the liaison between CP, Member Engagement and Events Marketing
  • Own vendor relations with Innovative Display & Design and collaborate to develop an effective and streamlined plan for customer events
  • Support in staffing customer onsite events

Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/Marketing/Communications, Design or technology-related field
  • 2 years of experience working on marketing or business initiatives or campaigns, whether in school or in a business environment
  • Demonstrated success in event management and project management preferably in a corporate setting or sales related field
  • Understanding of email marketing system concepts; experience in marketing automation or email marketing tools
  • Understanding of various reporting tools
  • Understanding of web content management systems Wordpress or other
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects across the marketing function
  • Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email (Outlook) skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment and/or Business to Business role is a plus
  • A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously; light travel is required
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
  • Proven knowledge of industry tools, such as SalesForce and HTML
  • A team player – Capable of working effectively with individuals throughout the organization
  • Highly creative – Able to translate complex concepts into simple graphics and visuals
  • Self-directed – Able to operate under pressure and manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • High-energy, can-do attitude – Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
