What You'll DoIn this position, the Validation Engineer will serve as a key technical contributor to validation of OEM platforms. The Validation Engineer will be working in a cross functional team to develop and execute test plans which will verify product functionality, adherence to specifications and production requirements; including SW stack and use case testing. The Validation Engineer may, at times, also debug, identify root cause and resolve issues as they occur.
  • Develop test specifications, requirements, strategies and methodologies for hardware, firmware, and software stack validation.
  • Design test effort preparation and track requirements, schedules and actions.
  • Create, track, document and summarize test results.
  • Work with the team to perform internal server research & development hardware validation support.
  • Design, analyze and contribute to improving and enhancing test plans and scripts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues during testing and find resolutions to any system issues found.
  • Work in close collaboration with build technicians to ensure systems are built, configured, and prepared correctly for testing.
  • Work with other team members to ensure new products and hardware are appropriately baselined before testing commences.
  • Work closely with vendors in debugging and interpreting errors found during validation test runs.

What you will Bring
  • BSEE or similar technical degree
  • 5+ years of

    System Validation experience.
  • Relevant experience including knowledge of Windows OS
  • Working knowledge of the latest server & storage architecture and components.
  • Extensive Knowledge of modern computer architecture and usage models including AMD and Client processors, GPU Acceleration,BMC, BIOS, PCIe, DDR4, SATA, USB, HDMI, NVMe etc.
  • Working knowledge of standard server/workstation hardware, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols, and general connectivity in multi-platform enterprise environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of

    SCSI protocol and various RAIDs configurations.
  • Working with bring ups, debugging and testing
  • Understanding of

    Unix/Linux and developing Microsoft Windows and PowerShell scripts.
  • Knowledge of system and Windows event logs and with Windows Event Viewer
  • Familiar with deploying Operating Systems remotely.
  • Prefer exposure to advanced test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, BERT, and VNA.
  • Prefer exposure to data center and server virtualization (VMware ESX, XEN, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal written communication skills; ability to interact directly with customers and multiple levels of management.
  • Must be able to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
