Graphic Design / Apparel Print Store Manager
Kraken Ink is searching for a strong graphic designer with apparel decoration experience. We have a new 2,200 square foot sports apparel and print shop retail store opening in Auburn this September. We specialize in apparel, jerseys, uniforms and gear customization. We are looking for a Creative Graphic Designer that is passionate about SPORTS and awesome modern streetwear design. This role will also be our Apparel Store and Print Shop Manager, responsible for creating unique designs for our customers and our own streetwear apparel line. This role will also market our service and manage orders through to customer delivery. The ideal candidate must have passionate interest in learning or experience with screen printing, direct to garment and heat printing decoration techniques.
Responsibilities:
Creative / Graphic Design
Create original, innovative and modern artwork that is production ready and customer centric
Actively participate in design brainstorming sessions and design critiques
Co-design our custom streetwear apparel lines with our leadership team
Ensure that customer design requests meet and exceed their expectations
Keep informed of design, industry and embellishment trends
Print Services
Market/promote our print shop services and develop new customers and business
Develop Facebook and Instagram marketing campaigns to drive sales
Become an expert in various apparel decoration techniques, and ensure we are staying on trend
Manage orders through creative design, proof process and order production
Coordinate with 3rd party partners to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment
Develop and drive our on-site event printing services
Coordinate and maintain our customer facing websites
Merchandise and manage our retail store, schedule store and print staff
Qualifications:
2+ years in decorated-apparel graphic design, strong illustration skills preferred
Exceptional eye for design and trends
Must be passionate about sports, and or understand sport apparel design
Possess strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in Creative Cloud
Experience with various apparel decoration techniques, or very strong desire to learn
Must be able to take direction and work well in both a team environment and independently
PASSION AND INTEREST IN SPORTS IS REQUIRED
Details:
Hourly base + commission (Pay increases with growth of business)
