Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Property Manager to oversee apartment communities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring tenant satisfaction, maintaining property standards, and complying with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong background in property management, administrative skills, and excellent customer service abilities to foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders.
Duties
Manage leasing processes including property marketing, tenant screening, lease negotiations, and renewals using tools such as Appfolio, Yardi and OneSite.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC requirements, and landlord-tenant laws.
Oversee property maintenance and facilities management, coordinating repairs and inspections to uphold property standards.
Handle legal administrative tasks including contracts, legal notices, and documentation related to tenant relations and property operations.
Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and recordkeeping for all property-related activities.
Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns; coordinate with vendors for repairs.
Resolve tenant issues through effective conflict management and negotiation skills; uphold excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards.
Upsell additional services or amenities to tenants to enhance occupancy rates and revenue.
Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and maintenance activities for senior management.
Skills
Bilingual preferred
knowledge of property management software such as Appfolio, Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems.
Strong understanding of legal aspects related to landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and LIHTC compliance.
Proven experience in real estate administrative functions including contracts, leasing procedures, data entry, filing, and office management.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally; effective conflict management and negotiation abilities.
Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with strong organizational skills; experience in sales or upselling is a plus.
Effective communication skills including phone etiquette; experience in customer relationship management is desirable.
Administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment; knowledge of legal administrative processes is advantageous. Pay: $50,629.39 - $70,585.93 per year
