JOB SUMMARYProject Manager (PM) is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with company strategy, commitments and goals. PM oversees initiating, planning and executing Cell Therapy Development (CTD) projects. The primary focus of the Project Manager will be to manage vector method projects in support of specific commercial product programs. The Project Manager is responsible for developing detailed project plans in support of the viral vector project scope and cross-functional stakeholders. This position works closely with the technical in order to coordinate and organize the deliverables associated with the CTD product programs. This position will also work closely with functional leadership and representatives to ensure alignment and coordination across CTD priorities.The PM will be responsible for using CTD Project Management best practices, tools and templates. The successful candidate will collaborate with the CTD Project Management organization to share ideas, tools, best practices, training, lessons learned, establish core competencies, conduct peer reviews of project management deliverables, etc.The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a highly matrixed and cross-functional organization, against tight deadlines with business leaders and stakeholders. The PM must have the drive to work with both internal and external partners to define and implement effective project management plans.

RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with viral vector technical leads, quality leads, and facilities leads, to successfully achieve project objectivesProvide strong team leadership and drive to ensure projects are executed on-time and within budgetFacilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverablesCreate project plans; scope, work, resources, scheduling, etc.Maintain project objectives through project lifecycleMonitor execution and quality to customer/stakeholder/sponsor standardsIdentify and resolve issues and risksReport on project progress, offer viable solutions and opportunities as they ariseImplement appropriate project change controlManage resources to make sure schedule is on trackFacilitate all project team meetings; attend related project team meetings as necessary to ensure alignmentEvaluate and assess result of projectProvide structure and leadership across departments to ensure team meets project objectivesDevelop and communicate status to viral vector leadershipCOMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE3+ years experience in bio tech/life sciences project managementExperience in cellular or gene therapy is preferredPMP certification and project management experience preferredProficiency with related software tools such as: MS Project, OnePager, SmartSheets, MS PPT, MS Excel, etc.Working knowledge of biopharma industryExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to work cross-functionally, with matrixed teams; maintaining strong business partner relationshipsStrong communication skillsExperience in conflict resolutionExcellent problem-solving skillsWillingness to do what needs to be done in a dynamic environment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree in Life Sciences-related disciplineAdvanced degree in Life Sciences-related discipline and/or an MBA strongly preferredProject management qualification; PMIs Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent preferredAdditional Job Requirements:
