Cabinet Maker / Woodworker – Custom Shop

Washington, Seattle-tacoma
Apply Now

Hurst Concepts is seeking a cabinet maker to join our small, growing team. We work on a wide range of full custom residential and commercial projects, from furniture and built-ins to complete kitchen remodels.

Our shop is conveniently located in Ballard and is fully equipped to handle every phase of custom fabrication. The variety of projects keeps the work engaging, and our small team fosters a collaborative, casual, and hands-on environment. We value craftsmanship, clear communication, and a respectful, safety conscious, low ego shop environment.

This role involves the fabrication of custom cabinetry, furniture, and architectural millwork. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys problem solving, and is comfortable working independently while contributing to a team. Experience seeing a project through from start to finish is a plus; however, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued.

We mostly work from 3D models created in SketchUp. The ability to read and work from SketchUp models is a plus, though not required.

This is an hourly position with opportunities for growth as the company continues to expand. In addition to paid work, team members have access to our full custom woodworking shop for personal projects, provided another person is present for safety.

Typical shop hours:

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Experience / Requirements

1–5 years building experience

Experience with shop machinery and hand tools

Ability to read shop drawings or plans

Attention to detail and finish quality

Personal tools a plus, but not required

Compensation

Starting wage: $30/hr

Flexible scheduling

Paid time off

Health insurance

Hurst Concepts is an equal opportunity employer. Women and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Please respond with your resume and a short cover letter telling us about your experience and interest in custom woodworking.
