Senior Software Engineer

Vaco Technology is currently recruiting for a Senior C#/.NET SWE for a leading asset management company that is headquartered in Seattle, WA. This position is a permanent one with a competitive salary and great benefits package. This position follows a hybrid work model where the member will work onsite 2 days per week. Candidates will have the option to work from offices located in Seattle WA, Alpharetta GA, Minneapolis MN, or NYC.

General Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Client Portals - (B2B) web applications driving Client Experience. You will work collaboratively with business partners in Product, Sales, and Marketing to prioritize and execute strategic and tactical product enhancements. Product features include investment simulation tools, account level reporting, and account onboarding and customization activities. You will utilize a robust product roadmap to execute on and will work with creative and agile engineers to bring ideas to market. Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners and other team members to understand and document requirements
  • Architect and design solution architecture for client portals - web and web API sites
  • Implement product features for public websites with a focus on quality and customer experience
  • Design and develop data structures in relational and NoSQL platforms
  • Integrate with 3rd party systems using APIs - e.g., Okta, SendGrid, Salesforce
  • Improve system performance and resiliency
  • Contribute to test automation suite including unit, integration, and smoke tests
  • Follow our development process and guidelines
  • Keep learning and innovate while meeting product delivery targets
Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience
  • 5+ years of web development experience in C#, asp.net core
  • Must have Angular experience
  • Experience with Agile development process such as Kanban or Scrum
  • Experience in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to demonstrate understanding of business goals
  • Proven experience designing and implementing solutions supporting client facing web apps
  • Skilled at service and object orientated development
  • Skilled at modern web site and web API development
  • Skilled at both relational and NoSQL database design and development
  • Experience with unit, integration and web testing frameworks and practices
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and practices

Qualified candidates will have experience and skills with:

  • NodeJS (NestJS) a plus
  • Microservice design with sync and async integration patterns
  • AngularJS (or React)
  • SQL Server (or other RDBMS)
  • MongoDB (or other Document Database)
  • Microsoft Azure (or AWS)
  • OIDC+OAuth2 security flows
  • GitHub (or other git source control)
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (or other CI/CD toolchains)
