Fisher Construction Group has an immediate vacancy for a payroll specialist to run weekly payrolls for approximately 250 employees. In addition to entering time sheets into the company's payroll system and cutting paychecks, duties would include completing weekly and monthly records such as tax reporting and union remittance reports, garnishments and employment verifications, and running direct deposit processes.
The successful candidate will currently reside in an area that is within a commute distance from Burlington, WA, will have had responsible experience in a payroll department that serves a group of over 100 employees, has experience and knowledge regarding rules and laws governing employee pay such as overtime laws, and an understanding of income tax, social security and health benefits deductions. Preferred experience would include working with job costing and union agreements. An ability to maintain good attendance is imperative. An ability to work with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines is also important. An attitude of helpfulness and patience with other employees is a must.
