Brandywine Nursery, Inc. is a wholesale nursery in Mount Vernon, Washington; located about 60 miles North of Seattle and about 60 miles South of the Canadian Border. Nestled in the farm lands of beautiful Skagit Valley, Brandywine Nursery has been a successful business in the industry for over 40 years.
Here at Brandywine, we grow a large variety of conifers, grafted conifers, shade and flowering trees, Japanese Maples, evergreen and deciduous shrubs, perennials, grasses, ground covers, and Northwest natives. Because of our temperate climate, our plant palette is quite diverse. We are also able to offer year-round employment to all key people.

Nursery Manager:
We are looking for a candidate that can maintain the delegation of the General Managers responsibilities comfortably, as the need arises, with the goal of assuming additional management responsibilities as familiarity and performance is confirmed. Successful candidate must have working practical knowledge in a similar position. Practical knowledge should include experience with propagation, grafting, production of woody ornamentals, shade and flowering trees, perennials, grasses, field and container production. Candidate must have a working knowledge of pest management, weed management, and cultural controls.
This position may also require working with customers and giving tours of the field. An ideal candidate will be personable and comfortable working in a low-key sales environment. If you can speak knowledgeably and honestly about a product, you would be a good fit.
While this position primarily works in the field, there will also be some office work and record keeping required. Candidate should have a basic knowledge of office machines, including printing and fax. An ideal candidate will also have experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and be able to type at least 45 wpm.
Preference will be given to those with management experience. This position requires managing field workers and assigning daily job duties based on importance and making sure workers stay on task. While not required for the position, preference will also be given to those who can speak Spanish.
