Featuring products in lawn & garden, pet, feed, hardware, livestock, seed, animal health and clothing, The Country Store serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and communities in Washington State, Coeur d'Alene, ID & Stevensville, MT. The company is seeking a warehouse clerk at its location in Mount Vernon, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Ideal candidates will possess a high level of initiative, discretion and independent judgment, with a can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task. Candidates should be flexible and detail oriented with a great attitude while ensuring excellent customer service at all times. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Greeting customers and promptly assessing their wants and needs
Assisting customer orders by loading and unloading products as needed
Maintaining product stock in the store and warehouse
Assembling products and displays
Delivering products to customer delivery points
Accurately completing sales using POS system according to established procedures
Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities
Dispensing propane and kerosene
Operating gasoline and diesel dispensers
Safely operating a forklift
Exhibit an ability to get along with others
Practice punctual and reliable attendance
Performing other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities with an emphasis on correctly calculating figures and amounts
Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service
Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently
Lift, carry and load 60 pounds (minimum) weight requirements
Professional appearance and demeanor
Proven track record of being dependable and reliable
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in a manner with co-workers and customers for safety purposes
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment (includes testing for THC/marijuana)
Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a retail setting
Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies
Experience dispensing propane cylinders
Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
This is a part time position; 30+ hours per week (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
