Summary:Required Background:

Experienced and proficient with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, CFEngine or Puppet. Preferably Ansible.
Experience with Python, Jinja and YAML for automating network or infrastructure configuration deployments.
Experience working with and in Linux.
Experience working in a DevOps environment with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc…
Experience working with Git repositories.
Experienced and knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as networking or server administration.
Proficient knowledge of security best practices
Proficient knowledge of coding best practices.
Familiarity with SRE (Site reliability engineering) concepts.

Preferred Background:

Experienced network or systems engineer turned DevOps/automation engineer.
Experience automating cisco networks.
Experience automating windows infrastructure.
Experience automating Linux infrastructure.
Experience automating virtualization infrastructure.
Experience automating cloud environments.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent plus 3 years of experience.
Additional experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA).
Cisco Certified DevNet Associate
