VOLT’s client is looking for a Systems Analyst

This is a long-term, multi-year contract position in Spokane, WA with excellent contract benefits (PTO, sick leave, paid holidays, health and welfare stipend, 401k), and a hybrid work schedule (at most 2 days a week).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IT Systems Analyst works within an Agile delivery team. Primary responsibilities include consulting with end users and stakeholders, developing web-based applications and conducting technical analysis of systems and applications in order to implement, configure and test commercial-off-the-shelf applications. Additional responsibilities include the investigation and remedy of problems with existing systems and applications.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Systems support – COTS Applications
    • Software version upgrades
    • Hardware version upgrades
    • Analysis/Troubleshooting
    • Decommissioning
  • Collaborate with peers on software design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and new feature implementation
  • Provide accurate story and project estimations
  • Perform peer code reviews
  • Contribute ideas to continually improve the team’s productivity and code quality
  • Guide and mentor less experienced developers while remaining a productive coder wherever necessary
  • Analyze system architecture and structure requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience architecting large software systems and enterprise integrations
  • Solid grasp and fluent in common design patterns
  • Full stack development experience in a Windows environment using object-oriented programming
  • Tools: TFS/AzureDevOps, git, Visual Studio and VS Code
  • Back-end: .NET, C#, SQL Server, Web service (REST, ODATA, WCF)
  • Front-end: experience with Angular 1.3+, CSS, JavaScript, Vue
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology

PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • SharePoint 365
  • Experience with Java Environments
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Front-end: Sass, TypeScript, ES2017
  • Back-end: Oracle, SQL
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure DevOps
  • Other: Experience with CI/CD, UI/UX design skills
  • .NET backend and frontend development skills
