We are seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant in a private, independent Orthopaedic Surgery clinic. This is a position for an independent, self-starter, who works well with others. We are a sub-specialty surgical practice, focusing on quality over quantity. Our patient population and practice style is very different from any of the large hospital-based Orthopaedic surgery groups in Spokane. We offer a competitive salary/benefits package and place a priority on long-term retention of quality employees.

We are a GREAT place to work! The Medical Assistant is required to perform all duties of a Medical Assistant as well as maintain efficient work flow. Candidate must be motivated, and highly capable. Familiarity with Orthopedics is highly preferred. Full time schedule: Monday through Friday. Salary is dependent on job experience.

Qualifications:

Must have a current Washington State Certified Medical Assistance license

Orthopedic M.A. experience is preferred

Job requirements:

Demonstrates competency and professional responsibility as a Certified Medical Assistant

Coordinate and supervise the activities of clinical team members engaged in clinical care for patients

Organize and assign duties and tasks to clinical team members

Identify and recommend solutions for clinical team members if problems arise

Maintain good communication with doctors, staff and patients

Room patients and obtain vitals

Ensure physician has any required documents and Imaging results for patient appointments

Prepare patient and assist providers with in office procedures

Patient follow up scheduling

Obtain imaging study authorizations

Call in prescriptions per physician order

Clean and stock exam rooms

Order supplies

Complete and process home health orders for surgical patients

Operating knowledge of computers, fax, printer, and copy machines

Workable knowledge of electronic medical record systems (EMR)

Proficient computer skills

Retrieve phone messages, return phone calls, and chart documentation in a timely manner
