Direct care support needed for a developmentally disabled young man with in private country home.

He would prefer a male caregiver, but parents open to any individual who has the strength to handle full physical transfers and stands.

No experience necessary, but helpful. You will be trained thoroughly prior to full employment. There is no nursing care involved.

Duties include:

Personal Care: bathing, assistance with eating, etc., dressing, toileting, peri-care

Household Care: cooking, cleaning, laundry

Health Care: medication management, transporting to physician and dentist office, physical therapy

Emotional Care: companionship, accompanying on social outings such as movies, park, mall. Direct care responsibilities also includes, implementing activities.

Must be able to implement daily documentation on his activities, care and medications.

You can be training while you complete the medication and CPR/first aid class.

Current CPR/First Aid card

Assistance with Medications Class (8 hour course at North Idaho College Center)

Be able to pass a current background check

Possess a valid drivers license.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

We are a nonsmoking household. Must have a good work ethics and be able to follow direction.

Regular set shift would be 2 days 9a-9p and 1 overnight awake shift 10p-9a. 35+ hours per week. Can be more hours to be a fill in for other caregivers who need time off.

Up to 48 hours in summer months if wanted as parents go on vacation.
