Delivery Driver, Packaging, Shipping & Receiving Position

Precision Sheet Metal shop in Spokane. The team member that we hire for this full time Delivery Driver, Packaging, Shipping & Receiving position will be someone that has demonstrated a willingness to work hard and is experienced with working with precision machined parts. This is a position within the company that presents a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude/skills that is looking to get their foot in the door at a company with a lot of growth opportunities.

Health insurance offered. Vacation pay after 1 year. Salary negotiable. Full time, M-F 7AM to 3:30 PM. Cross training on machines will be required at some point.

Summary:

Drive truck with capacity under 26,000 GVW to transport materials to and from specified destinations within industrial yards. Must pass background and driver record check and proof of personal insurance.

Other Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least one-year related experience. Over 21 years of age. Ability to pass Department of Transportation Physical and Drug/Alcohol test(s), including pre-employment screening. Ability to operate various forklifts and other lifting device.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Duties include making deliveries Order Management, product handling, sorting, packaging, paperwork, UPS & Fed Ex labels. All paperwork is in English. Counting and spelling critical. Some math involved

Wrapping pallets, making boxes, maintaining stock, forklift, computer use, and more. ACCURACY IS CRITICAL. Attention to detail is crucial. Also, must be willing to get dirty.

Safely drive truck to destination.

Inspect truck, equipment, and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Complete vehicle inspection form daily.

Utilize blocks and tie ropes to secure cargo during transit.

Use material handling equipment such as hand truck, pallet jack, and lift gate.

Safely load, and unload materials onto or from pallets, by hand or by utilization of lifting devices and/or employee assistance.

Comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA).

Other duties as assigned.
