BREWERY SALES and MARKETING MANAGER
HARDWARE BREWING CO. is a fast-growing craft beer company located in beautiful North Idaho.
We are seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager for the Northwest region. The right individual will have a strong competitive spirit, a desire to be on the ground floor of an exciting company and seeks challenging and rewarding work. This position will secure new business via direct sales and develop existing business via promotional execution and merchandising activities, as well as assist the brewer in tracking and documentation of product. The preferred candidate will live in, or move to, the local area; Kendrick, Deary, Lewiston, or Moscow Idaho.
Compensation DOE. Competitive salary, performance/sales bonuses and benefits.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES REQUIRED
Marketing degree-Bachelors, preferred or 2 plus years (verifiable) in managing role at a commercial brewery
Two plus years, (verifiable minimum) brewery experience in brewing processes, keg tracking, brewhouse
batch documentation and craft beer markets
Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results
Ability to interface with various levels customer management at wholesale as well as retail
A high level of self-motivation and the ability to work without constant oversight or direction; ability to work
independently as well as with management
Ability to set realistic (yet optimistic) goals - must be highly organized toward achievement of set goals
Strong communication skills, the ability to speak in front of groups to conduct promotions/tastings/tap takeovers
Strong work ethic, demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
An intense competitive spirit, with an assertive and confident yet gracious professional personality
Strong judgement and professional maturity
Excellent problem-solving skills; both interpersonal and mathematically proficient
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Publisher, Word, and knowledge of and the ability to learn software programs
easily: CRM Systems, Powerpoint, Brewhouse Systems, Keg Tracking, TTP Reporting software
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and ensure the implementation of sales and marketing for the company's craft beer portfolio
Identify potential accounts that are not being penetrated by Hardware Brewing Co. and develop a plan and
establish sales with those accounts
Motivate and work with local distributors to increase brand consumption
Develop (make calls set up meetings) and maintain close relationships with key accounts, track and monitor
progress in all accounts
Collect data, (beer inventory, keg tracking, pricing, distribution, customer accounts)
Compile and submit reports
Establish budgetary guidelines for the Marketing Department and operate effectively within budget
guidelines
Manage social media marketing, FB, HBC website, Trip Advisor, Google Business, Mail Chimp, Yelp etc.
Understand and observe all federal, state and local laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion
of malt beverages
Cicerone Level 1 certification within 4 months of hire date
