THE POSITION:

We are seeking a hard-working mechanical genius to manage AA Asphalting's Seattle fleet and Sumner shop. This position works closely with with the team to ensure all equipment is cared for properly and safely.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems on equipment such as dump trucks, passenger trucks, masonry equipment, etc. including brakes, motors, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, electrical and other equipment components.

Performs regular tune-ups and servicing of equipment and vehicles utilizing a preventative maintenance program.

Monitor equipment for proper safe operation.

Welds and fabricates on equipment, implements, and misc. items as needed.

Approve repairs and/or rebuilds of existing fleet.

Makes service calls in the field as needed, including evenings and weekdays during high-demand seasons.

Maintains records of maintenance and repair on equipment.

Recognize, correct, and report safety-related issues.

Make recommendations for potential equipment acquisitions and sell-offs.

Coordinates the purchase of parts and materials for equipment repairs.

Communicates with vendors for the purpose of ensuring timely repair and delivery of parts and equipment.

Interprets equipment policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
