POSITION: Sub-Contractor

CLOSING DATE: Position Immediately Available and Closed When Filled

LOCATION: Spokane

STATUS: Full-time

OVERVIEW:

This is a subcontractor position. Applicant will perform scheduled jobs. Applicant should have a varied skill set to install bathtub, shower pans, bath remodels, kitchen remodels, windows & decks. License, bond and insurance are required of the subcontractor. This is a journyman level position however, we do require applicants to have some relevant construction experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Has an understanding and experience with walk-in tubs, including plumbing and electric (as needed);

Remodel bathroom/kitchens by using trade skills such as tile setting, cabinet installation, carpentry, trim carpentry and construction;

Installation of decks, windows, siding following OSHA safety standard practices and learning EPA lead safe practices;

Adhere to all company installation standards and procedures while doing installations and providing services;

Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude when dealing with customers;

Respect customers' property and leave the work area clean;

Observing rules of good grooming and hygiene, and COVID-19 safe practices;

Inform customers about the functionality, care and upkeep of their new installations;

Accurately complete and submit all necessary paperwork and photos;

Take inventory of the installation products and keep stocked with all necessary tools and job components;

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent education.

Possess 1+ years of carpentry, trim carpentry, construction or in-home renovation experience with the ability to take accurate measurements using tape measure, level & combination square.

Valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

Basic plumbing knowledge preferred.

Ability to use power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.).

Ability to lift and/or push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.

Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Possess reasoning ability enabling you to understand and carry out detailed written, illustrated or oral instructions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Demands: While performing duties of job, sub-contractor is occasionally required to move around, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Sub-contractor must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The work is performed in the field at commercial or residential job sites. Noise level is moderate. While in the field at a job site, the sub-contractor is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is normally moderate.

Dress code: Company supplied T-shirts with logo, or plain t-shirt acceptable. Shorts, pants or jeans are acceptable. No faded, dirty, stained etc. clothing allowed. There is no specified uniform for this position.

Schedule: Monday through Friday. Appointments and installations may be scheduled on Saturday. If so, technician is expected to be available. Must be willing to work out of town 4-5 days per month.
