Find your future with us.The Software SEIT Organization is seeking a Enterprise Common Repository - Senior Software Engineering Manager (Virtual) to create the vision, strategy, and tactical plan for the development of a cloud based, common repository tool as well as the creation of an Open Source Program Office (OSPO). The new tool will automate the tracking and maintenance of all Open Source Software (OSS), Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), Government off the Shelf (GOTS), and all common internally developed software in the delivery of our products for the Boeing Enterprise and will be utilized by the OSPO. This position will require up to 25% travel.This effort is in the initial phase and will be a multi-year project developed in parallel with the creation of the OSPO. The selected candidate will collaborate with domain partners such as Product Security, many facets of the IT&DA organization, Legal, and Supplier management as well as lead a trade study to evaluate COTS tools, lead a team of software engineers in the development of The Armory, and collaborate with industry partners such as the Linux Foundation to create the OSPO.Position Responsibilities:Communicate and collaborate with Boeing business partners within Product Security, IT&DA, Legal, Supplier Management, and the standardization governance boards for situational awareness, compliance, and security of software

Collaborate with the external open source community such at the Linux Foundation, FOSSA, Apache Software Foundation, TODO group, and more

Support various internal Governance Boards

Lead a trade study to determine Make/Buy strategy for the new tool.Feasibility and cost findings with recommendations will be briefed to Senior Engineering Executive Leadership.

Lead and grow a team of software engineers to design, document, develop, test, and maintain new tool

Monitor and control the execution of the software tool development

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in (Tukwila, Washington).This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Project management experience

1+ years of Software Engineering Management Experience

10+ years of leading and supporting software development efforts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with Boeing Tools such as ESATS, SRES, PCAS, and SaTRN and commercial tools such as Artifactory, Maven, XRay, Sonatype, Snyk, and Nexus

Experience with DevSecOps, Cloud computing, repositories and the tools to support a repository

Experience with software security posture processes for proprietary areas

Coaching and mentoring team members to meet cost/schedule or resolve technical or operational challenges
