The R&D lab at Bardy Diagnostics is currently seeking a full-time regular-employee Sr. Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team at our Bellevue headquarters. Contribute to new product development, and work with and learn from accomplished and interesting engineers with a strong history of successful cardiac monitoring product development. The right person will have a strong curiosity about how things work, has a history of taking things apart, likes learning, and does embedded projects on their own. The main area of contribution will be PCB/PCBA design, but strong HW debugging skills will be an asset. Firmware experience, while not required, is a complementary skill for this role.In addition to a great team, Bardy offers good pay, excellent benefits, flexible hours, and meaningful work that helps make the world a better place.Responsibilities- Design and layout PCBs and PCBAs for ECG monitoring embedded systems, incorporating all requirements needed for a successful design, including low-power constraints. Cover deliverables for the entire product development lifecycle, including design and test documentation.
- Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF and power conversion of printed circuit boards (PCB)
- Library creation and maintenance
- Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs
- Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to continually improve design rules, constraints and design for test and manufacture guidelines
- Utilize PCB design tools, maintain and evaluate new tools, and train team members to use tools
