hiring immediatelyfor an

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for their Skilled Nursing Facility.

Nursing home administrators work to supervise clinical and administrative affairs of nursing homes and related facilities. Typical duties of nursing home administrators include overseeing staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities, and other duties as specific positions demand.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long term goals and mission
  • Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial, and custodial team, and ensure that they work together effectively
  • Hire (and fire) staff and employees at every level
  • Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Must have a sincere caring for and interest in the elderly and have the ability to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, families, and government agencies
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are being followed
  • Provide regular safety and compliance training
  • Create and maintain a budget
  • Oversee billing and set fees
  • Monitor turnover and solidify current and future staffing through appropriate selection, orientation, training, staff education and development
  • Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families; and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families

Qualifications

  • Must have current Washington LNHA Certification
  • 2+ years working as a LNHA in a long term care facility
  • Experience in performance management and effective leadership
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to relate professionally and work cooperatively with residents and staff at all levels
