Business Systems Analyst 3One Year Contract w/ four additional years probableVancouver, WA (remote during Covid)Federal Government contract - ship requiredSummary:This position will be performing the day to day monitoring and managing of the task level project plan for the MCIT Infrastructure deployment provided by the Project Manager.They will be required to work with the technical teams to track progress and report to the PM the status of the schedule and help identify any risks or issues that would impact the schedule or blockers that need to be escalated by the PM.The task level plan will be used to drive the higher level milestone plan managed by the PM and reported to leadership.This person would be working closely with the PM and other BAs who are working on the day to day deployment of major infrastructure and virtualization projects to ensure there is continuity and coordination.Responsibilities:Supporting Requirements Development:- Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops to elicit application requirements.- Research, analyze, model and organize information for developing requirements.- Decompose high-level information into details and abstract up from low-level information to distinguish between solution ideas and application needs.- Facilitate requirements validation sessions, identify gaps and present findings.- Resolve requirement conflicts between stakeholders.- Research, document, and validate current and future state processes and designs (functional and technical)Solution Development and Proposal:- Facilitate design sessions, key decisions, team meetings, sponsor meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions- Facilitate/assist in technical process improvement initiatives.= Research and develop methods to automate repetitive manual data manipulations.- Complete all documentation in support of the solution, including use cases, requirements, test plans, process maps, and desk procedures.Solution Build:- Prepare functional and technical documentation for hand-off to IT workgroups.- Work closely with IT development teams to encourage a smooth build.- Draft documentation for user and operational manuals.- Create queries and reports for extracting, manipulating, and reporting of business architecture-related information.- Proactively communicate key updates and documents to team members, sponsors, and stakeholdersImplementation and Change Management:- Support development and implementation of change management plans that reduce employee resistance and empower management as change sponsors.- Facilitate various system verification activities such as systems and user testing.- Facilitate system and data integration efforts to connect disparate systems that have various levels of System Life Cycle (SLC) maturity.Solution Maintenance:- Provide first line technical support to business users of the developed solutions.- Complete and improve user manuals, onboarding and training documentation.- Analyze solutions and business practices for efficiency and effectiveness. Based on the analyses, initiate continuous improvement initiatives.Promote the adherence to SLC processes.Education & Corresponding Experience (required)A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Technical Management, Information Management, Engineering, Business Systems, Computer Science (or a directly-related technical discipline) is required.- With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 8 years of experience is required.Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business systems analysis and progressively more technical in nature.Required Technical Skills & Experience (required)Advanced knowledge of Visio and/or other flowchart tools.Expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Experience in utilizing a requirements management tool.Experience using SharePointExperience in application migrations, data migrations and application architectureExperience documenting processes and supporting delivery for switching, routing, firewall, VPN, wireless, content networking, and network management systems across a wide range of complex architectures, platforms and mediumsExperience documenting and supporting Microsoft server and related productsKnowledge and expertise in a broad spectrum of technologies including applications, storage, backup systems, networking, and security; knowledge of concepts such as IaaS, PaaS Knowledge of Network Hardware and Software, Server Hardware, and Server Operating SystemsUnderstanding of multi-tiered business application and cloud-based application constructs, virtualization, Cloud technologies, specifically with VMwareProject Delivery experiencePreferred Skills & Experience (optional)Experience in organizational change management methods and tools.Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologiesEverest Consultants is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable local, state or federal civil right laws.
