Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver

Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment Follow all support plans to ensure that care is person centered, which includes helping individuals reach their goals and overcome behavioral challenges.Support levels could include but are not limited to: verbal assistance, partial and/or full physical assistance, and performing personal care tasks as needed, which may include dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.  Meal preparationPerform housekeeping and laundry duties Employees may need to handle and de-escalate inappropriate behavior from the individuals such as verbal and/or physical aggressionAssist the individual(s) in the community such as appointments, shopping and personal outings, etc.Use public transportation on community outings (free of charge for support staff) – These outings can happen any time of the year, we cannot decline to assist the individual due to weather conditions- unless it is deemed a health and safety risk.
