Job Title: Network Engineer

Locations: Vancouver, Washington

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

This role requires on-location work with the WWT customer. This customer requires WWT employees and contractors coming on-site to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Must be able to be on-site for the beginning and will turn into a hybrid model based upon on-site as needed. Will be asked to be on-call once a week every 6 weeks.

Job Description:
  • Analyze business needs, design, implement and support systems with an emphasis on networking infrastructures on multiple architectures. Provide project management and engineering for application and system installations, upgrades, and strategic initiatives. Act as a technical liaison between technology and business partners/leaders ensuring support, adherence, and alignment to the strategic direction of the organization. This position focuses on design and implementation of network infrastructure including but not limited to switches, routing, firewalls, load balancers, IPAM & wireless.

Must have Technical Skills:
  • 6+ years of Network Engineering
  • Hardware: Palo Alto, Aruba layers 2/3 – Juniper routers
  • Routing Experience: BGP, OSPF
  • Wireless: Aruba

Will be supporting the following projects:
  • FW review and rule clean-up
  • Cynerio MDM deployment
  • Wireless re-architecture
  • LAN stabilization and redesign

Certifications – Nice to have:
  • MCSE, Security +, CCNA, CISSP, GIAC

Additional Job Duties:
  • Design, Specify, configure, install, and maintain LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/Server/Storage hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as servers, storage & tape backup subsystems, software applications, printers, routers, switches, wireless devices, cabling, and Internet connections with a security focus.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Citrix, Citrix Netscaler (or other load balancing platform), VMware, Aruba/Juniper routers and switches.
  • Acts as technical lead for the administration and maintenance of infrastructure
  • Provide routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support as needed to maintain and secure systems.
  • Oncall rotation required – once a week, every six weeks.
  • Establish and maintain network users, user environments, directories, and security attributes
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administration of the network and duties performed by network & system administrators
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to networked hardware and software acquisition & system implementation, user support, security, and backup including HIPAA, PCI and other regulatory requirements
  • Ensure systems designed in accordance with DR requirements.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, which might benefit the clinic.
  • Participate in system feasibility studies and project proposals.
  • Coordinate and develop system specifications and designs.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate both written and verbally with internal teams as well as vendors. Ability to lead technical discussions with team members.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced production-oriented environment.
