Duties will include:

The Lead position is in charge of a 6 person team responsible for DHS I&A Mission Applications. Responsible for the customer service, system administration, and asset management. Must work well with other teams due to the fact that this position DOES NOT control all ITEL services.

Leads integration requirements determination, overall architectural design, planning, system specifications development, system design-analysis, testing, documentation, extension, and installation of information systems.

Perform a variety of network management functions in support of services related to the operation, performance or availability of data communications networks.

Responsible for granting approval to data access request following government provided guidance.

Support certification and accreditation of diverse application types from traditional webpage apps to complex cloud environments.

Responsible for O&M for DHS I&A CIO Mission Application Virtual Platform.

Participates on week Change Control Board – defines network risk, suggest mitigation strategies and ensures application viability.

Leads the triage and restoral of services during network incidents and outages.

Serves as Chief Engineer for all system/application upgrades.

Responsible for the migration of legacy systems to cloud environment.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility security clearance

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience and ten (10) to fourteen (14) years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications. Demonstrated competence in project management and technical competence in discipline field(s) and knowledge of company policies and practices.

8 years’ experience leading technical operations, maintenance and sustainment teams (system administration or system engineering teams)

Minimum 5 years professional work experience in a military or government environment

Extensive experience with industry standards for network technologies, system integration and service management

Extensive experience with virtual environments, cloud engineering, troubleshooting systems errors, and service catalogs

Excellent analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills

Experience with RMF application and risk associated with operational systems

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP certified

Security or CISSP

Cloud Architecture knowledge

Essential FunctionsPhysical Requirements:Most work will be done at a desk or computer.Work Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.Equipment & Machines:General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements.
